Description Smith & Wesson Model 629-1 Effector by John Jovino in .44 Magnum with a six round capacity and a 3″ barrel. Pachmayr checkered hard rubber grip. Polished stainless steel frame, cylinder and barrel. Wide trigger and checkered hammer. Rear adjustable and front fixed blade sight. These started as factory N-Frame revolvers that had the barrel cut-down, butt rounded, trigger work done and new roll stamps on the barrel from John Jovino’s Gun shop in Manhattan New York during the 1980s. This famous Police Supply/Gun Shop was behind the NYPD Police Station in Manhattan. During the time this revolver was created, the shop was owned by Lou Imperato. Comes with a pair of S&W walnut Goncalo Alves grips. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Very Good/Excellent with light scuffs and handling wear. Clean rifled bore.
