Smith & Wesson Model 36 Chiefs Special in .38 S&W Special with a five round capacity and a 2″ barrel. Made in Springfield Massachusetts between 1963 and 1966. Factory monogram checkered wood grip plates that have matching serial number on the reverse side of the right plate matching to frame. The reverse side of each grip is also marked with: JRD. Blued frame, cylinder and barrel. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled hammer. Left side of frame knurled cylinder release. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Comes in a blue factory box with no serial number visible. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Excellent with light handling wear and finish wear to the grips. Clean rifled bore.
