Description U.S marked Smith & Wesson First Model Schofield in .45 S&W with a six round capacity and a 7″ barrel. Made in Springfield Massachusetts in 1875 with serial number 2696. Smooth wood grip plates. Finish worn blued trigger guard, trigger, frame, cylinder and barrel. Case colored knurled hammer. Top of barrel located top break latch. Cylinder with extractor. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame, face of the cylinder and reverse side of the right grip plate. Inspector marked: L on the face of cylinder. Bottom of barrel inspector marked: L B P. Bottom of pistol grip on the frame marked: US. Under the grip plates on the frame each side is die stamped: SLIM. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers home. Condition: Antique, Very Good with scratches, wood grip damage on the bottom of each plate, finish wear/loss, some damage to screws and spots of light rust/pitting. Clean rifled bore.
