Description Savage 99 Takedown chambered in .303 Savage with a internal rotary magazine and a 22″ barrel. Manufactured between 1929 and 1930 with serial number 326906. Blued barrel, receiver, and trigger. Case colored square lever. Smooth wood Schnabel forend and straight stock with serrated metal butt plate. Fixed front blade sight, adjustable rear buckhorn, and rear Lyman flip up peep sight. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good, not much wear on the finish in the way of scratches or handling wear. Most of the wear on the bluing comes from small speckling spots of metal oxidation varying across the finish. The block of metal where the rifle taken down between the receiver and forend shows heavier metal oxidation and brown patina. beautiful case coloring still viable on the lever. Crisp lettering and proofs. The forend has some light scratches and dings. The stock has varying scratches, scuffs, dings, and general chatter marks from handling. Most of the finish has been lost or patinated on the butt plate with metal oxidation and pitting. Very clean bore with strong rifling.
