Description Colt New Service in .45 Colt ( Long Colt ) with a six round capacity and a 5.5″ barrel. Made in Hartford Connecticut in 1940 and shipped to the Canadian Royal Mounted Police in a shipment of one hundred revolvers. Includes Colt Historian Letter confirming this along with the revolver being Factory Engraved with the number 2553 on the backstrap. Checkered walnut grip plates. Blued knurled trigger, hammer, frame, cylinder and barrel. Left side of frame knurled cylinder release. Bottom of grip located lanyard loop and marked: M. P. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Comes with a Factory Letter from the Colt Historian. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with light scratches, muzzle wear, touches of rust and handling wear.
