Description Roger & Spencer Army Model in .44 caliber with a six round capacity and a 7.5″ barrel. Smooth wood grip plates. Made between 1863-1865 with low serial number 603. The ordnance Dept had a contract for 5,000 of these in 1864 and did not deliver the entire contract due to the end of the Civil War. The remaining revolvers were kept in storage and sold around 1901 to Francis Bannerman for sale in his military surplus catalog. Finish worn trigger guard, trigger, frame, hammer, cylinder and barrel. Rear notch and front fixed post sight. Under barrel swing down ramrod. Matching serial numbers on the frame, underside of ramrod, bottom of pistol grip and cylinder. Right side of the ramrod base marked: B. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers home. Condition: Antique, Good/Very Good with scratches, finish wear/loss, pitting and right grip plate has damage and repair. The rifled bore has light spots of rust/pitting.
