Description Remington No. 5 Rolling Block saddle ring single shot carbine in 7mm with a 20.5″ barrel. A 7x57mm Mauser snap cap chambered and ejected in this rifle. Wood butt stock and carbine forend. Smooth metal butt plate. Checkered hammer and falling block. Adjustable flip up rear leaf sight. Front fixed blade sight. Inside of butt plate is serialized 1637. Butt stock is serialized with 1637 hidden under the tang. Top of barrel marked “Cal 7mm.” Underside of barrel has an unknown proofmark or lettering with “Y32” stamped next to it. Forend has initials “M. G.” carved into it. Lots of notches carved into the butt stock and forend. Will ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Fair with heavy pitting and is rusted throughout the length of the barrel and tang. The exposed receiver is in much butter shape with some pitting on the edges. The wood is heavily scratched many deep dings and some cracks. Rear sight is dinged up. Rifled bore is very clean and bright with a very light grain.
