Description This lot is for a Remington & Sons 1858 New Model Army revolver in .44 caliber with a six round capacity and a 8″ octagon barrel. This blown up revolver was supposedly owned by Buffalo Bill Cody and was used by him until the gun blew up and was then used as a tack hammer. Comes with a letter from the previous owner and Gun Shop that sold the revolver. Buffalo Bill was in Danbury Connecticut in July of 1916 and this was acquired by an 8 year old boy ( Albert F. Weber ) at that event. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers home. Condition: Poor with finish wear/loss, damage/missing parts, rust and handling wear. The rifled bore has rust.
