Description Remington 1858 New Model Army chambered in .44 Caliber with a six-shot cylinder and a 8″ octagonal barrel. Made in Ilion New York between 1861 and 1875. Smooth wood grip plates. Finish worn trigger, knurled hammer, cylinder, frame and barrel. Brass trigger guard. Rear trench/notch and front blade iron sights. Left rear side of frame marked: W. Front of trigger guard marked: L. Inspector stamp lightly visible on the left grip plate. Antique, ships to buyers home where legal. Condition: Antique, Fair with scratches, finish wear/loss, rust, wood chips/damage, and the cylinder does not lock and the timing is off. Gun cocks and fires. The rifled bore has rust and pitting.
