Description Rare Argentine Navy Contract FN Model 1949 semi auto rifle chambered in .308. This rifle was one of 5,536 rifles produced for Argentina in 1953. In the early 1960s, the Argentine navy converted their FN49s to 7.62mm Nato and the magazine was converted from the 10-round fixed magazine to a 20-round detachable magazine. This rifle features a 23″ threaded barrel with bayonet lug and is all numbers matching, including the stock. There is an electro pencil import mark on the bottom of the barrel. Included are two, rare 20 round magazines. Must Ship to FFL or C&R holder.
Condition: Overall condition is Very Good with the barrel and receiver showing some finish loss and a couple of small and minor spots of surface oxidation. The bore is dark with distinct rifling and may clean up better.
