Barrels are marked “GEBRUDER MERKEL/SUHL” on the left side of the chamber. “SUHLER WAFFENWERK” on the right side. Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, improved modified chokes, and standard German proofs dated to 1938. Scalloped box lock action with double crossbolt, double trigger, and manual sliding tang safety. The receiver and tangs feature beautiful and bright case coloring. Checkered one-piece forearm with pistol grip stock and butt plate. Condition: Excellent bluing on barrels, 96% original blue finish with only a scratch or two and slightest muzzle wear. The receiver has a striking case color with out any distractions. The wood is very good with a light sanding and oiled finish, some dings and nicks free of any cracks.
