Description UPDATE #2: Model 94, drilled and tapped receiver top. Star on tang was a Quality Control proof used into the 1920s. UPDATE: Pre War four digit Marlin 1894 chambered in .38-40 Winchester with a full length tube magazine and a 24″ round barrel. Serial number 1120 believed to be made some time in the 1920s. Patinated blued barrel, magazine tube, frame, loading/ejecting gates, hammer, square lever, and trigger. Smooth wood forend and straight stock with crescent style steel butt plate. Rear marbles sight and fixed front blade. There is a “star” mark on the tang. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with most of the metal parts showing a nice brown and gray patina with spots of metal oxidation and general scratches/handling wear. The butt plate has lost most of its finish with heavy metal oxidation. Light scratches and dings in the wood with finish patina. Mostly clean bore with small light touches of metal oxidation and strong rifling.
