Description Pre 1964 Winchester Model 70 chambered in .257 Roberts with a five round fixed magazine and a 24″ barrel. Serial number 66262 dated to 1947. Blued finish and diamond checkered wood stock with checkered metal butt plate. Bolt mounted safety lever and hinged magazine floorplate. Front and rear sling swivels mounted with a leather sling. Rear adjustable buckhorn and front fixed ramped beaded blade sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped and mounted with a Lyman Alaskan all weather 2 1/2 power scope. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good with some scratches and finish wear from normal handling. Wear around the muzzle and a few light spots of metal oxidation on the barrel and scope. Metal oxidation on the butt plate. The wood has varying scratches and dings, the edge of the heel has some deeper scratches/gouges. The stock checkering is still strong.
