Description Wildey-owned cased set of two Wildey Hunter pistols each with one magazine, and 10″ vented and ribbed barrels. Reportedly used by Wildey moore to hunt Cape Buffalo in Africa. One is chambered in .475 Wildey Magnum and the other is chambered in .45 Winchester Magnum. Sequential set with later applied serial numbers 60606608-AFRICA1 and 60606608-AFRICA2. Both pistols are matte stainless finished with serrated front strap, backstrap, and controls. Single action trigger with manual thumb safety/de-cockers. Diamond checkered wood grips and heel magazine releases. Both have adjustable rear U-notches and fixed front blades. Both pistols come in a black hardcase with a certificate of authenticity for each, instruction manual, two Wildey catalogues, four grip springs, cleaning rod, cleaning brush, and patch attachment. Must ship to FFL holder. Condition: Both pistols are in good/very good condition, both showing very light wear from handling and show very little use. Both do have tiny spots of metal oxidation, as well as spots of pitting or some sort of imperfections in the metal. Both bores are clean with strong rifling. Wildey worked in the firearms business since the 1950’s as a gunsmith, Ed Argamonte’s, as a Salesman for Winchester, Stoeger, J.J. Tobler and Forenade Fabrikverken. Eventually setting out on his own to design and create the Wildey Survivor. The Survivor was most famously featured in the classic 1985 Movie Death Wish 3 with Charles Bronson.
