An amazing Side by side, pre depression era Ithaca shotgun. Manufactured in 1928. Striated solid rib with brass bead front with border engraving at the breech. Choked modified/improved cylinder with 16ga 2 3/4 inch chambers. Engraved action with field scenes on either side one features a pheasant and the other a duck. The remainder of the receiver features fine scroll patterns which extend to the fences and the trigger guard. The side of the receiver is hand engraved “ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA N.Y.” Other features include single selective trigger, cocking indicators, and auto ejectors. Mounted on a Fluer de lis pattern half pistol grip checkered stock with hard rubber pistol grip cap and a splinter forearm with ebony insert and engraved hardware. Features an inlaid silver shield motif without an inscription on the underside of the buttstock. Complete with a rubber pacmyr buttpad (appears to be a replacement). LOP= 14″ Drop at Heel= 3.25″

Excellent condition. Bluing is >90%. Case hardening is visible but faint. Wood has only minor wear and tear…mostly faint storage impressions. Mechanically excellent. Will shine in any collection.
