Made in Norwich Connecticut by Hopkins & Allen for the New York Marketer Merwin & Hubert Co between 1887 and 1894.Checkered composite grip plates. Nickel finished frame, knurled trigger, hammer, cylinder and frame. Right side of frame loading gate. Under barrel cylinder/barrel release. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. The .38 M&H is very similar to .38 Smith & Wesson. Matching serial numbers on the frame, cylinder and barrel. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers home. Condition: Antique, Very Good with light scratches, touches of rust and handling wear. The rifled bore has spots of rust and pitting.
