Description German Mauser S/42 P08 Luger chambered in 9mm with one, non matching eight round removable magazine and a 4″ barrel. Manufactured in 1938 with serial number 1058″S”. Salt blued short type frame with stock lug, wide trigger, and narrow trigger guard. Checkered wood grips. The grips appear to be matching but the serial on the right grip appears to be double stamped. Blued serrated safety lever with “GEICHERT” marked underneath. Salt blued short type receiver dated 1938. Blued toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. Dorsal fin front blade sight and V notch rear sight. The right side of the receiver is marked with two Eagle over 63 stamps. The right side of the receiver, right side of the barrel, and the left side of the breech block are marked with Third Reich Eagle proofs. Appears to be all matching other than the hold open latch spring and magazine. The magazine has a blued body with a tin baseplate. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handing wear. Finish wear on the moving parts and metal contact points from operation. Finish thinning on the contact points such as the front and backstrap. Spots of metal oxidation, finish patina, and small pitting. Discoloration on the grips. Scratches and checkering wear on the grips. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
