Description DWM 1914 Pattern Artillery Luger chambered in 9mm with one, matching magazine and a 8″ barrel. The magazine is tin plated with a wood base. Manufactured in 1917 with serial number 896. Rust blued short type frame with stock lug, narrow trigger guard, and push button magazine release. Straw finished takedown lever, wide trigger, and serrated thumb safety marked “GESICHERT”. Checkered serial number matching wood grips. Rust blued barrel, chamber, and toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. Front fixed “dorsal fin” blade and a adjustable nine-position V-notch rear sight. The toggle is marked with “DWM”. The barrel, toggle, and receiver are marked with German military proof marks. DWM acceptance mark is on the right side of the receiver. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the serial number and “8,82”. All serialized parts appear to be matching including the grips and magazine. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Very Good with light scratches and general cosmetic handling wear. Normal finish wear on the moving parts and metal contact points from operation. Some small spots of finish patina and metal oxidation. The straw parts are mostly in the white now. Some scratches and wear on the grip. The serial numbers on the grips are very faint.
