Description All matching DWM P08 Double Date Luger chambered in 9mm with a 4″ barrel. Manufactured in 1912 with serial number 4566, The top of the chamber is marked with a “1912” manufacture date and a “1920” Reichswehr property mark during the Treaty of Versailles. Rust blued frame with stock lug, narrow trigger guard, and push button magazine release. Straw finished takedown lever, wide trigger, extractor, and serrated thumb safety marked “GESICHERT”. Matching checkered walnut grips. Rust blued barrel, chamber, and toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. Appears to be a police rework, it is missing the sear safety but the side plate and receiver have the cuts/holes to fit one. Front fixed “dorsal fin” blade and rear V notch iron sights. The toggle is marked with “DWM”. The barrel, chamber, and toggle are marked with German military proofs. The right side of the receiver is marked with a DWM acceptance mark. The left side of the receiver is marked with an unknown circled mark. The front strap is marked “140.R.M.G.28”. The rear of the frame is marked “1596.”. Comes with two matching magazines and one non matching magazine. One of the the matching magazines has a wood baseplate with a “+” mark. The other matching magazine has a metal base plate with a Third Reich proof. Also with Onyx Franzite grips in the box. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with light scratches and wear from normal handling and operation. Finish loss/patina on the straw parts. Some wear/finish loss near the muzzle and on some of the high edges. Varying spots of metal oxidation/pitting. The grips have good texturing considering the age with some worn spots/imperfections and patina. The wood base plate on the magazine has a small “SR” carved it. The bore has metal oxidation/pitting to it, but has strong visible rifling.
