Description Marlin Model 1889 in .38-W which is .38-40 Winchester with a fourteen round capacity and a 24″ round barrel. Made in New Haven Connecticut in 1891. Finish worn butt plate. Smooth wood stock and front forend. Finish worn hand lever, trigger, receiver, hammer, magazine tube and barrel. Right side of receiver loading gate. Front and rear fixed sights. Front sight is marked: Lyman’s. Rear tang flip up adjustable peep hole sight. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers homes. Condition: Antique, Good with scratches, wood dings, finish wear/loss and a small hairline crack at the underside of wrist and rear of receiver tang.
