Description Russian Izhevsk M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine chambered in 7.62x54r with a five round internal magazine and a 20 1/4″ counterbored barrel. Manufactured in 1944 and imported by TGI KNOX TN, marked on the barrel. Blued barrel, cleaning rod, bands, receiver, magazine, and trigger. Unfinished bolt with twist knob bolt safety. Adjustable rear leaf sight and adjustable front post, both are painted white. Smooth wood forend and straight stock with blued metal butt plate. Front and rear pressed metal sling slots. The shank, bolt, magazine, and butt plate are serial number matching. The receiver has an importer serial number. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with some light scratches and general handling wear on the finish. Spots and speckling on most of the metal parts, mainly on the bolt and butt plate. Scratches, scuffs, and some light dings on the stock. Decent bore with strong visible rifling, shows some frosting of rust in the grooves of the rifling.
