Description World War II Ithaca 1911A1 chambered in .45 ACP with one, seven round removable unmarked magazine and a 5″ High Standard barrel. The frame was manufactured in 1945 with serial number 2112856. Part of a 59,300 pistol shipment from Ithaca. The frame is parkerized with checkered plastic grips. Checkered mainspring housing with part of a leather holster lanyard. Frame mounted thumb safety and grip depression safety. The left side of the frame is marked with “FJA” Frank J. Atwood inspection proof and “P” proof. The right side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY”, “No 2112856”, “M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY”. The left side of the trigger guard is marked with an Ithaca proof mark, and the right side is marked with an “8”. Parkerized Remington Rand made serrated slide with fixed iron sights. The left side of the slide is marked “REMINGTON RAND INC. , SYRAVUSE,N.Y.U.S.A.”. The top of the slide as a “P” proof mark. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with an “HS” and the left side is marked with a “P”. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good with light scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic edge wear. Thinning of the finish on the contact points and near the muzzle. Spots of finish patina and metal oxidation. Normal wear on the moving/internal parts from operation. Light scratches and wear on the grips. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
