Description Harrington and Richardson reproduction U.S. Model 1873 Trapdoor Cavalry model chambered in .45-70 Government with a single shot capacity and a 22″ barrel. Blued barrel, barrel band, trapdoor, hammer, tang, lever, lock, and trigger guard. Smooth wood straight stock with saddle bar/ring and case colored engraved butt plate. The barrel and bottom of the stock are marked with “P” proof marks. Rear flip up sight and fixed front blade. The barrel has been drilled and tapped and mounted with a “after market ladder sight”. The ladder sight appears to be from an original trapdoor due to it showing much more patina and wear than the rifle. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Good/Very Good with light scratches and wear from normal handling and operation. Light spots of metal oxidation on the barrel and trap door. Light speckling of metal oxidation on the lock, hammer, and trigger guard. The hammer finish has plumed. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the stock. Ladder sight has heavy patina and metal oxidation. Front sight is painted white. Clean rifled bore.
