Description Pre 1964 Griffin & Howe Custom Winchester Model 70 chambered in .30-06 with an internal magazine and a 24″ barrel. Serial number 45204 dated to 1942, “Griffin & Howe INC New York” is engraved on the top of the barrel. Blued finish with checkered wood Monte Carlo Stock with checkered metal butt plate. Stainless bolt body and blued knurled bolt handle with serrated safety. Hooded front blade sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped and mounted with a Lyman Alaskan All Weather scope with clear and intact glass. Front and rear sling swivels. Intact Winchester proof marks on the barrel and receiver. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with some light scratches and marks on the finish from normal handling. Some speckling/spots of metal oxidation on the receiver, bolt, bolt handle, floor plate and trigger/guard. The stock is in really good shape with a couple light dings and scratches. The original checkering is still sharp. Some scratches and finish loss on the exterior of the scope. Clean rifled bore.
