Description Mauser 42 Code P08 Luger chambered in 9mm with one non matching magazine and a 4″ barrel. Manufactured in 1939 with serial number 7464. Salt blued short type frame with stock lug, wide trigger, narrow trigger guard, push button magazine release, take down lever, and thumb safety marked “GESICHERT.”. Non-matching checkered walnut grips. Salt blued barrel, chamber, receiver, and toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. “Dorsal” fin shaped front blade and rear V-notch iron sights. The top of the chamber is marked with the manufacture date of 1939. The top of the toggle is marked with code “42”. “Eagle 63” military acceptance mark is stamped on the left side of the barrel and twice on the right side of the receiver. Late Third Reich military proof is stamped on the right side of the barrel, right side of the receiver, and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked “8,82”. All numbers appear to be matching aside from the grips and the magazine. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good, The finish has some scratches, and chatter/contact marks. Some light spots of finish loss near the muzzle and on high edges. Varying light spots/speckling of metal oxidation man of the metal parts. The grips are in solid shape with some small imperfections and patina from oil/age. The checkering is still relatively strong considering the age. Clean rifled bore.
