Description DWM 1923 Finnish Military Contract P08 Luger chambered in 9mm with two, eight round magazines and a 4 3/4″ barrel. The original barrel on this pistol was 3 3/4″ and was chambered for 7.65mm. As this pistol was originally manufactured post The Treaty of Versailles where Germany was restricted on what barrel length and calibers could be used. This pistol was later re-barreled by the Finnish with a 4 3/4″ Tikka barrel, due to the Continuation War. Rust blued short type frame with stock lug and checkered wood grips. Straw finished wide trigger with narrow trigger guard. Blued thumb safety lever with “GESICHERT” marking. Blued barrel and receiver. Blued barrel with flat checkered toggle knobs. Dorsal fin front blade and V-notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked with the Tikka logo. The left side of the receiver is marked with Crown over N nitro proof and [SA] Finnish Army Acceptance Mark. DWM inscription marked on the top of the toggle. Many of the parts are mismatched or un-serialized, likely replaced overtime by the Finnish. Comes with a SA stamped leather holster and board wood shoulder stock rig. The shoulder stock is non matching but correct for this model. One of the magazines has a blued body with a black polymer base. The other has a tin body with a wood base. Neither are serialized. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with scratches, sharp edge wear, and general handling wear. Varying spots of metal oxidation and finish patina. Spots of thinning on the finish mainly on the contact points. Normal wear on the moving/internal parts from operation. Some scratches and edge wear on the grips. The bore is bright and clean with strong rifling. Scratches, cracking, and normal general wear on the holster. The SA stamp on the holster is faded and scratches.
