Blued barrels marked “GEBRUDER MERKEL/SUHL” on the left side of the chamber, single bead sight on the glossy vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, scroll engraving at the breech, improved modified/full chokes, and standard German proofs dated to 1969. Bolstered scalloped box lock action with double crossbolt, single selective trigger, cocking indicators, and manual sliding tang safety. The receiver features full coverage scroll engraving with matching engraved tangs and trigger guard. Checkered three-piece forearm with English straight stock with butt plate. Condition: Very good to Excellent all around, The barrels have 96+% original blue finish with only some light handling marks. Only flaw on the gun is a slightly bent rib section which appears to be in need of only a basic fix. The receiver has an overall coin silver/gray patina with deeply defined engraving and some light discoloration on tang. The wood is very good with crisp checkering, only some small dings impressions from storage, free of any cracks. Mechanically excellent.
