Description Marlin Golden 39-A Take-Down in .22 Short, Long or Long Rifle with a varied capacity and a 24″ barrel. Made in New Haven Connecticut in 1962. Aftermarket hand engraved with wave scroll work/deer scenes in Japan while the previous owner (Submarine Captain) was on shore leave from the United States Navy. Checkered black composite butt plate. Checkered Walnut stock and front forend. Blued hand lever, receiver, serrated hammer, magazine tube and barrel. Gold finished trigger. Under barrel knurled magazine tube knob. Rear adjustable and front hooded fixed blade sight. Right side of receiver take-down screw. Metal loops for mounting a shoulder sling. JM stamped barrel. Top of receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting optics. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Very Good with light scuffs, light damage to the screws, wood dings, butt plate missing white spacer and handling wear. Clean rifled bore.
