The right side of the barrel is marked “HS” and the left side is marked “P” Manufactured in 1918 with serial number 344316. Parkerized steel US property marked Colt frame with checkered plastic stocks and lanyard loop. Type I Eagles Head S8 inspection mark on the left side of the frame. Type III magazine catch lock. Black finished stake down lever, manual thumb safety, and long hammer with rounded rear edge. Early Colt main spring housing. The top of the receiver is marked with Frank Hosmer’s “H” assembler mark and G production order. Parkerized Colt slide with fixed iron sights. The right side of the slide is marked “MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY”. The left side of the slide is marked with Rampant Colt patent date “PATENTED APR.20,1897.SEPT.9,1902 COLT’S PT.FA.MFG.CO DEC.19,1905.FEB.14,1911.AUG.19,1913 HARTFORD,CT.U.S.A.”. The rear of the slide is marked “H” Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good having been re-parkerized, with metal oxidation and pitting under the parkerization on the slide and frame. Scratches, scuffs, sharp edge wear, and general handling wear. Finish wear on the moving parts and contact points from operation. Scratches and wear on the grips. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
