Manufactured in 1944 with front bayonet lug and late war stamped barrel bands. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed hooded front blade. Three position flag bolt safety. Milled magazine floor plate. Blued finish with smooth wood to forend and stock with cupped unfinished butt plate. Front and rear sling mounts with leather sling. The rear sight, base, and external bolt parts are serial number matching. Faded Waffenamt on the top of the receiver. “dou” “44” Stamped on the top of the receiver. “MOD.98″ Stamped on the left side of the receiver. The stock appears to have been sanded and refinished at some point. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good with scratches, scuffs, and finish wear from handling and operation. Varying light spots of metal oxidation and small spots of pitting. Sanded stock with faded markings. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood. Thin shallow crack on the top of the butt stock forward of the butt plate. Bright and clean bore with strong visible rifling.
