Description Colt M1892 model 1901 in .38 LC (Long Colt) with a six shot capacity and a 6″ barrel. The Model 1892 had improvement request from the Army resulting in small changes and model numbers. This result is this model 1901 which is an improved M1892. Smooth wood grip plates. Blued frame, cylinder, barrel, checkered hammer and smooth trigger. Fixed front blade sight. Left side of frame checkered cylinder release. Heel located metal lanyard loop. Marked on the inside cylinder gate “3 8552″ K 8552”. Marked on the cylinder release button “K 8552”. One the rear left side of frame “R.A.C.” On the inside left side of frame under grips “K 8”. On the cylinder face “R.A.C” This revolver must ship to a C&R or FFL holder.
Condition: Fair, this revolver has been reblued at some point in its life. The edges and marks have been sanded down. Spots of finish wear and metal oxidation. The cylinder does not lock up every cycle. The rifled bore has metal oxidation throughout. Sold AS-IS.
