Description Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double Action chambered in .45 ACP with a six-shot cylinder and a 5.5″ barrel. Manufactured in 1918 with Army serial number 121942 and Colt serial 273423. Blued barrel, frame, fluted cylinder, double action trigger, and hammer. Aftermarket checkered wood grips with Rampant Colt medallions. Rear notch and fixed front blade iron sights. The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT D A 45”. The underside of the barrel is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY”. The bottom of the frame is marked “U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 No 121942”. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Spots of finish thinning and patina throughout. Some small spots of pitting/metal oxidation under the grips. Scratches and wear on the grips. The grips have been refinished at some point with the finish on the Colt medallions as well. Missing the lanyard loop. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling. Appears to function as expected but the action is a bit stiff.
