Colt Small-Frame Lightning rifle chambered in .22 short or long. This pump-action rifle dating to 1896 features a 24″ barrel, exposed hammer, unique and functioning brass side loading mechanism, checkered hardwood forearm and smooth stock. This is an older restoration done before the consignee acquired the rifle which was some forty years ago. This appears to have the correct front site but is missing the tang rear sight that would have complimented it. Antique, Ships direct to buyers home
Condition: This rates Very Good as restored. There is some pitting at the end of the barrel. The bore is frosted but the rifling is distinct and throughout. The Rampant Colt logo is no longer visible on the left side of the receiver. The action and all parts function properly. Overall a nice example of a desirable antique pump action rifle.
