Description Colt SAA ( Single Action Army ) in .45 Long Colt with a six round capacity and a 5.5″ barrel. White composite grip plates. Made in Hartford Connecticut in 1901. Nickel finished trigger guard, frame, cylinder, hammer and barrel. Blued trigger. Right side of frame loading gate. Under barrel ejector rod and cylinder release pin. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Underside of barrel has Military Sub-Inspector proof: P D.F.C. which stands for inspector David F. Clark. Serial number matching on the bottom of frame, trigger guard and bottom of backstrap. Mismatched serial number on the loading gate. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Fair with the entire revolver being refinished, rust, old pitting, front sight ground down and finish wear/loss. Larger contact mark on the ejector housing. The internals have been worked on and the action is very tight. The rifled bore has spots of rust. SOLD AS-IS.
