Description Colt New Model Army/Navy DA38 chambered in .38 caliber with a six-shot cylinder and a 6″ barrel. Blued finish with checkered hard rubber grips. Fire blued trigger. Textured hammer and cylinder release. Front blade sight. Manufactured in 1905 with serial number 252766. The bottom of the frame is marked “SPFC 23”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT F.A. MFG. CC. HARTFORD CT U.S.A. PATENTED AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88 MAR.5.95”. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Poor, needs a gunsmith as neither the trigger or hammer rotate the cylinder when pulled. The cylinder still release and turns but is not connected to the hammer or trigger. Heavy spots of metal oxidation and wear from handling. Finish loss on the high edges, contact points, and towards the muzzle. The grips are in solid shape with wear on the checkering. Light touches of metal oxidation in the bore with good visible rifling. SOLD AS-IS.
