Colt Model of 1862 Police and Pocket Pistol of Navy Caliber made in 1862, chambered in .36 Navy. A Colt Archive letter for this model and serial number range is not available. Round Barrel Length: 4.5″ with single line New York Address on top. Fluted Cylinder with September 10th 1850 Patent Date. Frame, Trigger Guard and Butt Serials all match. “COLTS PATENT” stamped on left side frame, with 36 CAL left side trigger guard. Barrel retains about 50% Original blue, Cylinder retains about 20% Original Blue, and brass parts retain more than 70% Original Silver. Frame retains minor traces of original case coloring. Stocks appear original and have an old lacquer finish with some dings and chips. Some rust on the percussion nipples, and interior of frame, along with bore and cylinder interior. Should be properly conserved. Includes an old leather holster.
