Description Colt Government Model 1911 semi auto pistol chambered in .45 ACP. With S/N C117970 and dating to 1919 this pistol features a 5″ barrel with fixed front blade and dove tailed u-notch rear sight, blued finish and diamond checkered grip panels. Left side trigger marked “VP” and “98” Top of Frame marked “3”, Underside of barrel marked “Sh?” Comes with one period two-toned magazine. Must Ship to FFL or C&R holder.
Condition: Overall this rates Very Good with some finish loss on the high spots, A shallow takedown scratch extends from frame to slide. the top of the slide and the front and back grip straps. There is a tiny nick in the front of the slide and a mark on the slide and frame from the slide release lever. The grips rate Excellent. The bore has some light frosting, but strong rifling.
