Description Colt U.S. Bicentennial 1776-1976 Cased and matched set comprised of three revolvers from different eras. First is a Single Action Army chambered in .45 Colt with a six-shot cylinder and a 7.5″ barrel. Glossy blued barrel, unfluted cylinder, single action trigger, hammer, and grip frame. Case colored frame. Smooth walnut grips with Presidential Seal. Rear notch and fixed front blade sights. The left side of the barrel is stamped “1776 – U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL – 1976”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.”. The cylinder is marked with the U.S. flag and the names of the first thirteen states. Serial number 0072PM. The second revolver is a Colt Python chambered in .357 Magnum with a six-shot cylinder and a 6″ vented rib barrel. Full glossy blued finish. Smooth wood grips with Presidential Seal. Adjustable rear notch and fixed ramped front blade. The left side of the barrel is marked “1776 – U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL – 1976”. The cylinder is unfluted and marked with the U.S. Capitol, Statue of Liberty, and the Liberty Bell, among multiple U.S. Mottos. Serial number 0072PY. The third and final revolver is a Colt 3rd Model Dragoon Percussion revolver chambered in .44 Caliber with a 7.5″ barrel. Blued barrel, wedge, engraved receiver, and single action trigger. Case colored ram rod, frame, and hammer. Silver grip frame and trigger guard. Smooth wood grips with Presidential Seal. Rear notch and front bead sights. The left side of the barrel is marked “1776 – U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL – 1976”. Includes brass powder flask, Colt nipple container, nipple wrench, and bullet mold. Serial number 0072DG. This set comes essentially how it was delivered from the factory, Including its outer shipping box. Comes with Comes in its Walnut display case with three lockable compartments for each revolver and red velvet interior. Comes with factory paper work and sealed copy of “Armsmear: the Home, the Arm, and the Armory of Samuel Colt. A Memorial.”, powder flask, nipple wrench, bullet mold, and percussion cap case. Also included is the Colt Styrofoam case/cardboard boxes for each revolver. The SAA and Python must ship to a FFL holder. The Dragoon can ship directly to buyers home in MOST states if requested. Additional shipping charge, due to multiple revolvers and wood case. Condition: New in its original shipping having been unused/unfired and well stored. The revolvers appear to have been handled very little. The silver frame of the dragoon has darkened and patinated a bit with age. The SAA frame looks to have a little bit of pluming from storage/age. All three have bright and clean bores with strong rifling. The wood case is in great shape with very little handling wear. The case does show one small puncture in the wood and the rear, likely from shipping. The brass handles and fittings on the display case have a few very light spots discoloration/tarnish from age. The original Cardboard boxes have light wear and tear from handling.
