Description Colt Model 1860 Army in .44 caliber with a six round capacity and a 8″ barrel. Made in 1863. Smooth wood grip with matching serial number in black ink on the underside behind backstrap. Backstrap in between the two screws marked: D. Brass trigger guard and front strap. Behind trigger guard marked: D. Blued trigger. Finish worn frame, checkered hammer, cylinder and barrel. Cylinder with Naval scene and marked: C C. Left side of barrel marked: S. Right side of barrel marked: C. Under barrel ramrod. Underside of barrel beneath ramrod marked: S. Front and rear fixed sights. All visible serial numbers matching. Right side of grip marked with a illegible inspector proof. Comes with a period U.S. marked leather and brass belt holster. Antique, No FFL required and ships to buyers home. Condition: Antique, Very Good with damaged right grip, finish wear/loss and light rust.
