Description Estate find, Civil War Relic Board (Desk Set) in the style of John Goode. John was a cabinet maker that made these boards as tourist souvenirs to the Civil War battlefield’s in the 1880s. Set on a oak base with mini balls, cannon shot, piece of a bayonet, piece of a cannon ball, primer cap, rifle shot, two Union buttons and a brass Union US marked belt buckle as the center piece. Items are all nailed/affixed firmly to the base. Ships to buyers homes. Condition: Good with patina and wear. Missing the small paper plate on the back describing the items and the inscriptions usually painted/inked across the front beveled edge.
