Description Chilean Contract 1895 Mauser rechambered for 7.62×51 NATO, with a five round capacity and a 29″ barrel. Manufactured by Ludwig Loewe of Berlin Germany, and contracted to Chile. Front cleaning rod and bayonet lug. Blued barrel, bands, receiver, trigger, and trigger guard. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Unfinished bolt with flag style safety. Wood top forend and straight grip stock with blued metal butt plate. Front and rear sling swivels. The top of the receiver is marked with the Chilean Coat of Arms. The left side of the receiver is marked “MAUSER CHILENO MODELO 1895 MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN”. The rear of the receiver is marked “7.62”. The stock has a cartouche of the Chilean Coat of Arms. The left side of the stock is marked with the star of David. Most of the parts are mismatched serial numbers. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Overall good with varying spots of metal oxidation and finish patina. Scratches and general cosmetic handling wear. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood.
