Description Colt Army model of 1860 with an 8″ barrel and a 6-shot cylinder. This revolver cap & ball and is .44 caliber. Patinaed and worn finish on the frame and barrel. Solid wood stocks. Checkered hammer and smooth trigger. Markings on this example: “- Address Col. Sam L Colt New-York U.S. America-” on the top of the barrel. Rear left side of barrel marked with an “A”, rear underside of barrel marked with an “S”, cylinder pin marked “S”, left side of frame marked “COLTS PATENT”, brass behind trigger marked “H”, top of grip marked “H”, and cylinder itself marked “A” and what looks like “1853.” All parts with a visible serial number match “77266,” which are on the bottom of the barrel assembly, bottom of frame, underside of brass trigger guard, under grip, underside of cylinder pin, and cylinder. Wedge does not have a serial number and is loose. Comes with wooden case including an Eley Bros tin of 100 percussion caps, a Colt black powder flask, and 14 premade lead bullets, mix of balls and cones. This revolver is antique and will ship to buyer’s home. Condition: Antique good. Original finish is gone, wedge is loose but stays in. Numbers on cylinder are very faded. Cylinder turns when hammer is pulled back and hammer drops when trigger is pulled. A couple of the inner case walls are lose and need to be reattached.
