Description Colt New Service Canadian North West Mounted Police in .455 Eley with a six round capacity and a 5.5″ barrel. Made in Hartford Connecticut in 1904 then shipped to Canada in a shipment of seven hundred to the North West Mounted Police. Factory Engraved on the backstrap: NWMP #697. Includes Colt Historian Letter that confirms this. Checkered composite grip plates. Case colored trigger and knurled hammer. Blued fame, cylinder and barrel. Left side of receiver knurled cylinder release. Bottom of frame has lanyard loop and is marked: MP. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Matching serial number on the frame and crane. Comes with Factory Letter from the Colt Historian. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with scratches, spots of finish wear/loss and handling wear.
