Description BSA SHTLE III Enfield chambered in .303 British with a ten round removable magazine and a 25″ barrel. Manufactured in 1910 and imported by IA CO, marked on the side of the receiver. Front bayonet lug. Parkerized barrel, receiver, bolt, and small part. Receiver mounted safety lever. Serrated magazine release. Adjustable rear sight and protected front blade. Smooth wood forends and stock with brass butt plate. Front and rear sling swivel with mounted canvass sling. The top of the receiver is marked “D (Up Arrow) 2 D”. The side of the receiver is marked with Crow n over “E R”, “B.S.A.CO.”, “1910”, “SHTLE III”. The stock has numerous markings. The right side of the stock is marked “M.A. LITHGOW SMLE”, “III”, “IIV”, “1941”, “6/4 4” “R MA”, “11/45”. The grip of the stock is marked “MA”, “1”, “2”. The receiver and bolt are force matched with previous serial numbers crossed out. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good having been factory refurbished, scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Finish discoloration and patina. Finish wear on the internal/moving parts from operation. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood. The brass butt plate has discoloration and oxidation. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
