Description Browning 1886 National Forest Centennial lever action chambered in .45-70 Government with a tubular magazine and a 22″ barrel. Manufactured in Japan. Blued barrel, magazine tube, barrel band, bolt, hammer, and saddle ring. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed front blade. Coin finished receiver and lever. Gold plated trigger. The receiver is engraved with gold inlay. The left side has an image of Teddy Roosevelt, “1891-1991”, and a U.S. Forest Service badge that reads “FOREST SERVICE, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE”. The right side of the frame is marked with two scrolls that read “U.S. NATIONAL FORESTS CENTENNIAL 1891-1991” and “ONE OF 2000”. Also marked with Forest Reserve Ranger crest. Checkered walnut forend and straight grip stock. Blued metal butt plate. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Very good with light scratches and normal cosmetic wear from handling. Light internals wear from operation. Some light patina on the brass parts. Light scratches and dings in the wood. Bright and clean bore with strong visible rifling.
