Description Antique Winchester 1873 chambered in .38-40 Winchester (.38 WCF) with a full length tubular magazine and a 24″ octagonal Kings Improvement barrel. Manufactured in 1893 with serial number 452398B. In the white barrel, magazine tube, receiver, and dust cover. Patinated blued loading gate, hammer, trigger, and lever. Brass lift gate. Adjustable rear buckhorn sight and fixed front blade. Grip mounted twist lever safety. Smooth wood forend and straight grip stock with crescent metal butt plate. Antique ships directly to MOST buyers home. Condition: Antique Good with the majority of the finish being in the white with spots of patina and metal oxidation throughout. Some patches of small spotting of pitting on the receiver. Some sharp edge wear and metal contact marks. The magazine tube is a little bit loose. The brass bottom of the lift gate has multiple metal dings/contact marks. Sits proud of the bottom of the frame. Can be physically pushed upwards. But appears to function as expected. The wood has been sanded and refinished at some point. Scratches and dings in the wood. The bore a decently bright with pretty good rifling given the age. Does show spots of rust.
