Description Marlin 1893 chambered in .38-55 Winchester with a tubular magazine and a 26″ barrel. Mostly in the white finish. Blued loading gate. Case colored trigger and hammer. Squared lever. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Smooth walnut forend and straight grip stock with crescent metal butt plate. The top of the barrel is marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO, NEW HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. PAT’D OCT 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUG. 1. 1893.”. The top of the receiver is marked “MARLIN SAFETY”. Antique, ships directly to buyers home in MOST states. Condition: Antique Good with most of the finish being in the white with spots of patina and metal oxidation. Scratches, contact marks, and general handling wear. Wear on the internal/moving parts from operation. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood. The bore is decently bright given the age, shows some spots of metal oxidation/pitting. Strong visible rifling. The trigger appears to be a little bit deformed, but still seems to function correctly. Action appears to function as expected.
