Description 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army chambered in .44 Center Fire with a six-shot cylinder and a 5 1/8″ barrel. The barrel has been shortened from 5 1/2″ at some point. Manufactured in 1883 with serial number 98355. Reblued finish with smooth wood grips. Single action trigger and hammer. Rear notch and front blade sight replaced with a cut and buffed coin. The left side of the grips is carved with “Troy L. Leslie”. The frame and trigger guard are serial matching with 98355. The cylinder has been replaced and has serial 1584. Antique ships directly to buyers home, in MOST states. Condition: Antique Fair having been fully reblued with visible pitting, wear, and buffing under the finish. Scratches, metal contact marks, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Spots of metal oxidation/patina. Scratches and dings on the wood. Wood repair and carving in the grips. The bottom front of both grips are missing small chunks and have been sanded and rounded off. The barrel has been shortened and the front sight has been replaced with a coin that is slightly crooked. The bore is decently bright but does show spots of metal oxidation. Strong visible rifling. The action functions and is reasonably tight, but with enough force the cylinder can be rotated when the hammer is locked.
