Folded Steel Blade with Bronze and Mixed Metal Mounts. Sheathed in a Steel and Bronze mounted scabbard. Edo or Meiji Period, Second Half 19th Century. Cord and Ray Skin Wrapped Hilt. Tang Signed on both sides. Old Black Patina on hilt. Blade is pitted and likely cleaned at some point. A few notches in blade edge, otherwise good to very good. Ray Skin missing from hilt. patina to cord wrap and bronze mounts. Overall length: 38″, blade length 26″.
