Description Mauser 42 Code P08 Luger chambered in 9mm with one non matching fxo magazine, and a 4″ barrel. Manufactured in 1940 (stamped on the top of the receiver) with serial number 4092G. Salt blued short type frame with stock lug and non matching checkered wood grips. Wide trigger and narrow trigger guard. Manual thumb safety with “GESICHERT” marking. Blued barrel and short type receiver. Blued 42 marked toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. Dorsal fin front blade and rear V-notch iron sights. All parts appear to be serial number matching aside from the grips and the magazine. The breech block is stamped with a worn Third Reich Eagle. The right side of the receiver and barrel are marked with Third Reich Eagles. The right side of the receiver is marked with double Waffenamt 655. The left side of the barrel is marked with Waffenamt 655. The body of the magazine is marked fxo with Waffenamt 37. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Overall good with scratches, high edge wear, and handling wear. Varying spots of metal oxidation and finish patina. Thinning of the finish on the contact points, mostly on the front strap and backstrap. The markings are still visible and most of them are crisp, with a few being worn. Scratches, edge wear, and darkening on the grips. Some frosting of rust in the grooves of the bore, the rifling is still strong. The magazines feed lips are bent, and is difficult to remove from the pistol when inserted.
